How to Shutdown or Restart a PC using Remote Desktop
SHUTDOWN / RESTART PC USING REMOTE DESKTOP
When you are using Windows Remote Desktop to access a remote computer, the normal dialogs and options to restart or shutdown the computer are unavailable. However, there is a way to restart a remote PC from Remote Desktop using the command line
TO SHUTDOWN REMOTE PC

Click on Start then RUN (On the remote desktop)

Type cmd and press ENTER to go to the command prompt

At the command line type: shutdown

Then press return
TO RESTART REMOTE PC
-
Click on Start then RUN (On the remote desktop)

Type cmd and press ENTER to go to the command prompt
-
At the command line type: shutdown /r

Then press return
